Our story
Why we built brillaxl.
Step 1
The problem
The best mastery tools were built for wealthier countries — pricey, data-hungry, and full of examples that don't look like Ghana.
Step 2
The mastery loop
So we built the opposite: learn a concept, practise it adaptively, prove it — a loop that runs on a mid-range phone and a modest bundle.
Step 3
Preschool → WASSCE
A focused project grew into a preschool-to-SHS platform with WAEC-aligned exam prep, built out subject by subject.

Dr. Solomon Addai is a Professor of Applied Mathematics and the founder of brillaxl. He built brillaxl to put rigorous, mastery-based mathematics and science within reach of every Ghanaian and West African student — pairing deep subject expertise with the conviction that world-class learning should run on an ordinary phone and a modest data bundle.
